Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins
Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins is the Archbishop of Lagos. He was born on 1 Jun 1959. He was ordained a priest on 18th September 1983 and before becoming the Archbishop of Lagos was ordained Bishop of Abeokuta Diocese on 24th January 1998. On August 4th, 2012 was made the Archbishop of Lagos, and thus the local ordinary of The Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Institute. His Motto is called to serve in Love.
He has cordial relationship with our Institute, and pastoral care for our Sisters. This is evident in his physical presence at our major cerebrations, presiding at the Eucharistic Sacrifice for our various celebrations: perpetual profession of vows, Anniversaries of religious profession, blessing and opening of some our projects. He generously donated to our Institute the parcel of land where the new Novitiate was built. May God bless his generosity.
